They started writing in the summer of 2010 and started their first tours of the UK's folk clubs and café's in October.
They began recording on cassettes and 4 tracking their first Ep's in an abandoned school in Liverpool with first time producer Joe Wills, who inspired experimental recording techniques and unusual locations. In February 2011 they released their first single The Mountain Dogs on limited 7" vinyl with Manchester's hug-step pop label Red Deer Club. Parallel to their single launch they toured the UK and Ireland supporting the likes of Olaf Arnalds, Silje Nes, Mice Parade and Efterklang befitting of their Scandinavian influenced sounds. During their tour they made a midnight pit stop at Abbey Road Studios to record their second single I am the Rain, which they released in May '11 with a London label called Idle Fret. This won them peak time radio play from many 6music dj's including Lauren Laverne, Jarvis Cocker, Tom Ravenscroft and Nemone. That summer they toured Europe for two weeks and mid-tour flew back to London for an off the cuff live session with Rob De Bank at Maida Vale Live Lounge for Radio 1, before continuing their tour dates in Germany, Switzerland, France and Holland. They continued with a summer of festivals including Secret Garden Party, Standon calling, Croissant Neuf, Fusion Festival in Germany and were a tipped new band for industry festivals Sound City and The great Escape. With continuing airplay from BBC2's Steve Lemacq, Radio 1's Gilles Peterson, Rob Da Bank, 6music and XFM, the band were fast becoming hotly tipped by radio and indie press with features appearing in Rolling Stone, Vice, Loud & Quiet, Uncut and Artrocker.
In September '11 their track ‘Shoot the Ducks to Win' made it onto Gilles Peterson's latest compilation titled Brownswood Bubblers Seven and a Japanese label called Cocoheart Records released their first two Ep's as an album called The Golden Fleece, followed by a mini-album 12" called Noah & the Paper Moon released by Heavenly Records as a teaser to their debut album released by Heavenly early in 2012.
This winter they are recording their debut album amongst UK tours with Emmy the Great and SummerCamp. They also perform as main support for Alessi's Ark, TuneYards, Beth jeans Houghton and Slow Club.
